High South Media Network Regional Update:

Western North Carolina:

The cold, winter weather was a blessing for ski areas and other winter sports venue as all of them were able to start making snow again!

Sapphire Valley started making snow Monday night but not enough to open the full ski area. 

Ski Sapphire Valley's Frozen Falls Tube Park opened Friday, Jan 7.  View the [Ski Sapphire Snow Report] Target opening date for the Ski Area is MLK weekend.

Ice Skating, Tubing and Skiing is available at several venues, check the Winter Sports link below.

Heads ups for Thursday PM as a chance of rain will turn to a chance of snow with temperatures dropping to about 18 late Thursday into Friday !! A winter storm advisory is in effect.
